Da Capo has a wind orchestra, a special event orchestra and a clarinet quartet. 

 

The association has 47 members who all play in the wind orchestra. Members who want to participate in the special event orchestra are welcome. The clarinet quartet has a permanent staff of 4 members from the wind orchestra. 


The wind orchestra rehearses in the Kurioskerk, Julianalaan 38 in Leeuwarden, on Wednesday evening from 8.00 p.m. until 10.00 p.m.

 

Do you want to become a member? 

Becoming a member is very easy. Visit a rehearsal and play along. When you have played a number of times, the level suits you and the orchestra fits your expectations, then sign up as a member. As a member of Da Capo you can borrow an instrument from us (if one is available). If you have an instrument yourself, you can have your personal instrument insured with us. 

Harmonieorkest up to 14 years: € 10,- per month 

Harmonieorkest from 14 years: € 20,- per month

Conductor of the wind orchestra is Floris de Wever. 

Floris de Wever (1976, Apeldoorn) studied at the conservatories of Arnhem and Amsterdam and played with the Nederlands Studenten Orkest and the Nationaal Jeugd Fanfare Orkest. In 2007 he was the first student at the Utrecht Conservatory to obtain the Mastertitel for the Board of Directors. Floris has been a conductor at various orchestras in recent years. Besides Da Capo, Floris also conducts Harmonie '67 in Groningen.
